eBay Research Vital For eBay Success

eBay research is the starting point of all successful eBay sales. Doing research on eBay is simple if you know how, and there are three different ways to use the auction site to figure out demand before you invest a single dime in merchandise or five minutes writing copy.

eBay Research Method 1:

* Go to the home page of eBay and insert the keywords of whatever you are seeking (for this example, aromatherapy)

* Click the "Find It" link and you will arrive at a page with aromatherapy product using that keyword. On the left hand side of the page, you will see two main areas: Matching Categories and Search Options. There you can choose Completed listings.

You can further refine your research in multiple ways, such as an

• Ending time
• Price
• Location
• 
  

eBay Research Method 2:

You can go directly to the Completed Listings page. (If you intend to use this often, you will want to bookmark it.)

eBay Research Method 3:

My personal favorite way to do research is this method because it allows you to set more parameters for your search.

* On the home page of eBay, select Advanced Search (in the top right hand corner of the page).

* On the Advanced Search page, you will be able to make choices about what and how you want to search. For example, below I entered my aromatherapy keyword, chose Completed listings with the Price: highest first and 200 results per page.

It is usually more useful to discover the highest price for items, rather than the date (although not necessarily). You can sort by:

• Time: ending soonest
• Time: newly listed
• Price: lowest first
• Price: highest first
• Distance: nearest first
• Payment: PayPal first
• Payment: PayPal last

You can also view results as:

• All items
• Picture Gallery
• Show item numbers

* There are other ways to refine your search:

Of all the eBay research methods, this one offers the most options and is therefore the most helpful.
