The Case founder, Jerome Increase Case, founded the company in 1842. Originally the company dealt with steam farming equipment, but in the beginning of the 20th century the company changed its scope and the first models of Case construction equipment were developed. During the whole 20th century, Case increased their position on the light- and medium-size construction equipment finalized in 1999, when Case merged with New Holland creating a new business entity – CNH.

Case (or CNH, to be accurate) is now a leader of the US market of small and medium-size construction equipment. They have probably the most various offer, ranging from classic 1800s skid steers to complex CX excavators with “onboard intelligence features”. Despite the fact that New Holland and Case have merged, most product lines remained independent.
