How To Write An Article

Not everyone is gifted with the skills in writing. Many people spend money and exert extra effort with the sole intention of acquiring the best skills in writing. Some would look at books and magazines for tips on how to write an article. This is actually the purpose of this write-up, to provide a few pointers on how to write an article. The information will be brief with the assurance of helping amateur writers get started. The pointers will serve as guidance in composing articles of essence and proper structure

First and foremost, the writer must have a clear subject to tell about. The idea should be crystal clear as this would reflect on the contents of the article. He must have a great deal of knowledge about this subject that everything about it is roaming freely in his own mind, waiting, as if, to overflow.

The writer must have a target audience in mind. He should know who are likely to patronize his articles so that he can choose the proper words according to the level of understanding his prospect readers might have. If one’s target is the younger generation, then he must attempt to use words that are commonly used by the younger era, thus, finding the easier path to their minds and hearts.

In line with this, the writer must also have a way with words. He must pick words carefully and organize it in such a way that he does not become offensive or degrading to others, such as a group of people with infirmities or beliefs and advocacies that are being firmly held at. Remember that what is said and done is often very hard to take back. The writer must therefore exercise discretion in choosing words for his article.

The language to use is another thing to consider. English is considered to be the universal language and using this would mean a wider range of audience to read his article. This fact, however, is not a limitation. There are persons who express themselves better through the use of their native language. The writer should always use the language that he is comfortable with to make himself understood better by the public.

The length of the article should be appropriately determined by the writer. It is dependent on the space provided for the subject. If the article is to be placed in a limited space, he must strive to explain it briefly without compromising the complete thought. On the other hand, the writer can discuss a subject thoroughly if no limitation is imposed with regards to the length, and he can include specific details up to the minute ones considered still to be helpful and necessary for the topic.

Lastly, the topic written must be a commendable one, worthy of reading and meritorious in essence. In this way, the writer will leave a mark at the minds of his readers and he will acquire their respect, which is the most important response that he will ever get from them.

fter reading this, hopefully, the way has been paved for you to help you on how to write an article.
