Cheap Hardwood Floors: Don't Be Tempted To Make Your Hardwood Flooring Too Cheap

When the price war rages as it is often in flooring industry, we rarely ask ourselves a question: Are we lowering the price of our floors too much? In the case of cheap hardwood floors making the prices too low can be as deadly as keeping them too high, especially in e-commerce.

There are three reasons that should keep us from selling our hardwood flooring too cheaply. Hardwood floors have a minimal price and elow that level problems start.

1. Appearance of low quality

Too cheap hardwood floors may not be bought because customers will suspect they are too low in quality to consider. In a normal shop, a potential buyer can always touch the floors and determine if they were good enough or not.

In eBay store all they have are the pictures. You need to convince the clients you sell high quality products, not that you are so much cheaper that your floors are really dreadful.

2. Additional fees?

Sometimes if you sell your products very cheap, you may feel tempted to add some additional “hidden” fees – if you can't make your hardwood floors any cheaper, you should at least make them look cheaper, shouldn't you? No, never ever think about it again! This is the easiest way to destroy your credibility – and to lose future clients.

3. Lack of the customer support

The last thing that suffers greatly because of the low price is the lack of customer support. It is one of the first things we cut when we decide to sell our products as cheaply as we can. Hardwood floors don't need a 24/7 help desk, do they?

However such move starts a downward spiral – the lesser the quality of your services, the less people decide to buy from you. The fewer clients you have, the more you try to lower the prices to attract them again – and in order to do so, you lower the quality of your services again. At the end you have very cheap hardwood floors that no one wants to buy.
