A construction equipment auction is not something that can be called a “natural” eBay auction. Normally all eBay businesses are (or at least try to) be open to the general public and construction equipment is hardly something that an average Joe or Mary would like to buy. Any auction of specialized equipment tends to attract only a small number of people, thus (at least theoretically) decreasing the chance of making a successful sale.
