Products To Sell On eBay: I Sold It On eBay I Sold It On eBay: "How I Sold An eBook on eBay Poland"I sold it on eBay: my homemade e-bookI created an e-book and then I sold it on eBay! Though I spent quite some time on it (mostly on writing the e-book myself), it has paid off. Not only I had a lot of fun while actually writing something, but I also succeeded in making money out of it. The idea that I sold on eBay ...I'm a great fan of Ogame (a massive multiplayer online game) and I was always felt distress when I saw what simple mistakes people make while playing it. That's when I decided to write an e-book concerning Ogame and then I published and sold it on eBay. I asked the Game Administrator for the permission to use the name Ogame in the book and he said yes so I then created a step-by-step “how to play” guide. {I sought permission in case the copyrights owner would notice my book and forbid publishing it. It is always better to make sure you're OK when dealing with copyrights.} When the book was ready, I sold it on eBay. How? That wasn't so difficult. The listing I wrote:The listing was simple, just a few words about the book and a short description. What was important is that I added a teaser to make people want to read all the book. That was all I did to sell it. Advertisements for selling on eBay:My e-book has been a success. I have sold it on eBay Poland - over fifty copies in a month. However, I doubt I would have managed to sell half this number if I hadn't done some word-of-mouth advertising. I visited a few fellow Ogame alliance forums where I mentioned a word or two about my e-book and I asked my friends from my alliance to spread the word. Over half of the buyers seemed to hear about the e-book from their friends. Important details:As I decided to deal with an e-book, I have avoided most of common eBay problems with shipment and fake products. The only thing I had to do was add credit card payments, in addition to my PayPal account, in order to increase the number of potential customers. This was a failure – all my customers used PayPal. Though the e-book was relatively cheap (only $3.99), I sold it on eBay quite successfully, so for a part-time business that was a good start. Now I'm writing a new e-book while I continue selling the old one. I hope the second one will be a success, too! (By Bartosz Chmielewski)
