I can’t list my item in eBay Travel. Why?

Selling timeshares is possible only for those sellers who have undergone the SquareTrade verification procedure and pay proper SquareTrade fees ($10.00 initial fee and $7.50 a month). Timeshare auctions without the ST seal will be withheld by eBay. One more thing: you can’t be selling timeshares through “Luggage” or “Other Travel” (those categories do not need ST verification) – they belong to “Vacation Packages” alone and listing them anywhere else will be considered as trespassing eBay terms of service and may even result in blocking your eBay account. Either way, trying to avoid ST is not worth it – the procedure is simple enough to be passed by majority of sellers, even if you’re only an occasional visitor on eBay.

While eBay is the largest world’s marketplace and selling timeshares there usually takes only around a week, from time to time you will have to wait up to a month before a sale takes place. If it takes longer than that, or if the problem shows up regularly, then you should consider a few marketing moves.

Consider using bold or colored frames to make your offer more visible. Then, try selling timeshares with lower “buy it now” price – your offer might be a bit overpriced even if you think otherwise. If none of that works, take another look at your listing. If you lack good pictures and the content is concentrated on facts only rather than on the place itself, your results might be well below the average.
