Before you start selling Leica binoculars on eBay it is good to know a little about them. Knowing something about the Leica company or about the meaning of different designations will certainly be helpful while selling the binoculars. Of course the information will be useful for potential buyers, too!

1. Lifetime warranty:

All Leica binoculars are subjects to lifetime warranties. While the warranty does not cover everything (a few good hits with a hammer will certainly damage even Leica binoculars), it means that no matter how much they have been used, the binoculars are not supposed to wear out. In practice that means that all Leica binoculars are in good condition – no matter how old they are.

2. Designations:

Most models of Leica binoculars are designated with one or more letters (and/or names). Understanding their meanings is an absolute must for every seller (and a potential buyer, too).

“A” – Non-slip coating. Often used on compact Leica binoculars.“B” – Leica binoculars designated with

“C” – Compact models, ideal for coat pockets

“L” – Full size Leica binoculars with “L” in their signature are covered with leather armoring.

“N” – Improved near-focus range; along with “B” it is probably the most common feature of Leica binoculars.

If you include this information in your description of Leica binoculars, you will impress buyers with your professionalism and knowledge. Of course, great pictures make a huge difference, too!
