Fictional characters are sought after: Scarlett O'Hara, Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Dagwood and Blondie, Eliza Dolittle and Casper.

TV stars like Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Gale Storm, Bob Cummings and Dinah Shore are great paper doll sellers

Glamorous people, like Queen Elizabeth, Grace Kelly and Princess Diana are sought after, as are glamorous occasions like weddings, christenings and birthdays sell well

If the dolls are "uncut", meaning still in their books and not removed to stand alone, the prices are higher

Certain names like Tom Tierney, the McLoughlin Brothers, Bill Woggon and Katy Keene bring collectors flocking to auctions

Paper dolls are hard to beat if you are interested in a lucrative niche on eBay auctions. Demand is very, very strong and certain to remain so for quite a long time.
