Winnie The Pooh memorabilia is a mixed seller on eBay. Why 'mixed'? Because some collectibles sell very well indeed, while others do not.

The Pooh books, written by A A Milne, are favorites with old and young alike and have been translated into almost every known language. They have also resulted in many spin-offs, such as two of my personal favorites, The Tao Of Pooh and The Te Of Piglet, written by Benjamin Hoff. In these wonderful books, the author uses the Pooh characters to explain Taoism, proving that lessons from these delightful animals are universal.

In the best selling Pooh collectible category are items like these:

The book above is a first edition from 1926 and was published in the United Kingdom. The volume is a hard cover book, that includes both the original dustjacket and the original illustrations by E.H. Shepard, which accounts for its high sales price and 19 bids.

The doll and bear were made by R. John Wright and are of Pooh and Christopher Robin, the human in the Winnie The Pooh stories:

These dolls are from Disney productions and are numbers 169 out of only 2500 made, which accounts for their high price.

This day there are 35,657 items found for 'Winnie The Pooh' and approximately 1/3 of them have sold. Obviously, the rarer and more unusual items are the ones with the big price tags but there are many more common items that sell well:

• Production cels from the original Disney series

The most amazing thing about Winnie The Pooh is that it has endured for a hundred years! In the days of cheap reality shows and forgettable soap operas, that is indeed an achievement!
